The Pastoral Council is a consultative group of parishioners discerned by the Holy Spirit to offer advice to the pastor.  Discernment with all interested and qualified parishioners is held each year in late spring for four council positions commanding a three-year commitment.  The council meets monthly or as requested by the pastor

Serving at the discretion of the pastor and visible by their distinctive badges, Pastoral Council members accept and sometimes solicit opinions and questions from the parishioners on all matters of concern at St James. The council also works closely with the Church Staff, Finance Council and Archdiocesan offices.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month.
